About the Role

Precise Systems is seeking a highly skilled Lead Pyrotechnics Engineer to join our team. As a solutions-based company, we are focused on innovation and delivering the highest quality of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and participate in exploratory efforts on new pyrotechnic munitions/devices/systems and the advancement of technology in support of the Pyrotechnics Team's mission.
  • Provide hands-on pyrotechnics engineering and fabrication support to the Pyrotechnics Team.
Requirements
  • BS in an Engineering discipline, preferably chemical engineering.
  • Experience with obscuration, nonlethal ammunition, and associated manufacturing engineering programs, including hands-on fabrication experience in making pyrotechnics and pyrotechnic ammunition.
  • A minimum of 20 years experience in pyrotechnics/energetics projects.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in pyrotechnics/energetics projects involving smoke/obscuration and nonlethal programs.
  • Active Army Ammunition & Explosives certification.
  • Army MOS 89D; Mission, EOD or TEU experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
