Job Title: Data Engineer

Agile Defense is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines to support our organization's data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and implement efficient solutions.
  • Implement and optimize data models to support business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources to provide a unified view for analytics and reporting.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver data solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architecture.
Requirements:
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (Must obtain within 90 days of starting).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, Airflow).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
