Ken's Foods, a leading food manufacturer of dressings and sauces, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Lebanon, IN location. This position will require the individual to access all areas of the plant and grounds to accomplish assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities- Actively pursue and correct problems with components and systems throughout the facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Utilize thorough knowledge of automated packaging machinery operation, troubleshooting, and repair to maintain production levels.
- Apply expertise in pump theory, operation, and repair to ensure smooth operation of plant systems.
- Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as electrical control and power circuits, to prevent downtime and maintain productivity.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
- Work safely with both low and high voltage circuits, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and repair electric motor, motor control, and device control problems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ability to weld (gas and arc) and solder to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Basic knowledge of facility and manufacturing support systems, including steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration systems, to ensure optimal plant operation.
- Basic plumbing and carpentry skills to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers' manuals and prints.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear instructions and guidance to team members.
- Complete the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a score of 60% or better.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting skills, electrical troubleshooting skills, mechanical troubleshooting skills, hydraulics experience, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with machines and technologies such as servo motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), programmable logic controller (PLC), and conveyor systems.
$30 - $38 / hr
