About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for operating mammographic radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mammographic radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Assist physicians in performing stereotactic biopsies to remove tissue from suspected abnormalities in the breast
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of radiological equipment, adhering to the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and reliable diagnoses
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
  • Recent employment as a Radiological Mammographic Technologist, with experience in current technical aspects of patient care in the Radiology and Mammography Department
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) certification
  • State certification
  • Current CPR certification
