About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Safety Expert to join our team at Tire Discounters. As a key member of our service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our customers' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential safety issues and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Perform accurate and timely vehicle diagnoses, maintenance, and repairs to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety.
  • Inspect and repair vehicles to ensure compliance with state requirements.
  • Promote a culture of cooperation and collaboration among team members.
  • Assist other teammates with tasks as needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience in automotive repair, with ASE certifications preferred.
  • Valid Virginia Inspector license and at least one year of experience as a Virginia State Inspector.
  • Must have own tools, with a great tool purchase program available.
  • Diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently follow store policies and procedures.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Capable of continuous standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs).
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.

Compensation

Our Service Technicians are paid an hourly rate plus commission on all labor, with no cap on commission. Starting hourly rate depends on experience level and ASE certifications. Our Service Technicians can earn $40,000 - $100,000+ annually, factoring in hourly rate, overtime, and commissions.
