Job Title: Senior Research Associate

At the Guttmacher Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Associate to join our team. As a key member of our research division, you will be responsible for a variety of research and management tasks, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as project management and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement research studies, including developing research questions, selecting study participants, and collecting and analyzing data.
  • Conduct data analysis using statistical software packages such as R, Stata, and NVivo.
  • Develop and maintain databases, including data entry, cleaning, and management.
  • Collaborate with research staff to develop and implement research protocols, including developing study instruments and procedures.
  • Prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and the media.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, research institutions, and government agencies.
  • Manage and coordinate research projects, including developing project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a social science, public health, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as project management and coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with statistical software packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including experience managing and coordinating research projects.
