Job Description

The Director of Parish Operations provides comprehensive support to the Pastor and the pastoral team for both St. Francis de Sales and Prince of Peace parishes. This role is responsible for the physical and financial resources of the parish, enabling other ministries to function effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Daily accounting functions, including banking relationships, cash management, and fiscal reporting to the Pastor. Collaboration in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements to the Pastor and Pastorate Finance Committee.
  • Personnel Management: Indirect supervision of staff members, ensuring adherence to Archdiocesan practices and policies. Administration of employee benefits, new employee orientation, and exit procedures.
  • Facilities Management: Coordination of annual parish budget, collaboration with the Pastor on monthly financial reports, and development of short and long-range maintenance plans for parish buildings, property, and equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field, with several years of significant cross-functional managerial experience. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential, along with working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and payroll/human resource computer software and systems.

This is a 32-hour per week position with benefits, requiring occasional evenings and irregular hours. The Director of Parish Operations will serve as a liaison with Archdiocesan offices on financial management and audit, and develop a strong working relationship with the Finance Committee and other committees as requested by the Pastor.
