Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 1st Processing to join our team at Lincoln Premium Poultry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our production areas, and you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment.
  • Review work orders to ensure accuracy and maintain documentation of work performed.
  • Adjust, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Assist with installation of new equipment or modify existing equipment as required.
  • Provide training to peers as requested or needed by maintenance tech lead.
  • Make suggestions for corrective measures when downtime results from mechanical or technical defects.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to supervisor, including cost reduction, quality improvement, and yield control.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform backup duties to other staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and calculating percentages.
  • Skill in using power tools.
  • Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and scissors lift.
  • Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.
  • Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including being on-call and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanics or Technology.
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience in a maintenance position.
  • Previous experience working with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive) preferred.
