We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician who has:

  • A robust mechanical background complemented by some electrical expertise (experience in nuclear or aircraft sectors is highly desirable).
  • A welcoming stance towards veterans.

FULL ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The chosen candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and adjustments on electrical equipment, including but not limited to wiring, panels, switch gear, and motors, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust faulty equipment to restore it to the proper operational standards as per regulations and repair manuals.
  • Inspect, maintain, and adjust mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, and engines, ensuring their safe and effective operation.
  • Perform scheduled inspections of fueling locations and equipment to verify normal operating conditions in line with established procedures.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with mechanical and electrical components related to fueling systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at fueling locations.
  • Travel between company sites to fulfill job duties.
  • Document all activities, service orders, and recommendations in company software, demonstrating proficiency with computers and mobile devices.
  • Ensure all fueling-related equipment and structures comply with manufacturer specifications and operational protocols.
  • Be prepared to cover additional stations as needed based on business requirements.
  • Be available for on-call duties outside of standard business hours.
  • Be open to working during off-duty hours, including potential overtime.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • A foundational understanding of mechanical or electrical principles.
  • Basic computer skills, particularly in service software.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information in small group settings.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations and data interpretation.
  • Common sense reasoning to follow detailed instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation: $31/hr
