Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Gable Search Group. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site setup and installation of industrial inkjet printers at customer locations.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer management skills, and the ability to work independently in a demanding schedule. You will be traveling to customer locations up to 75% of your workweek, as well as occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Un-crate and set up industrial inkjet printers, including checking electrical power and compressed air
  • Provide initial and ongoing formal customer operator and printer maintenance training
  • Perform periodic on-site trouble-shooting and repairs on printers experiencing complex electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic problems
  • Provide detailed technical feedback via Inkjet Case Management System (CMS) during and after each customer visit
Requirements:
  • Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology
  • Minimum two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices and high demand customer locations
  • Demonstrated customer management skills, strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level
  • Working knowledge of RIPS, color theory, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems
