Job Title: Structured Assets Credit Analyst

Securian Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Structured Assets Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our structured assets team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating structured assets to ensure they meet our investment objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of structured assets, including primary and secondary markets, to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of structured asset markets, including underlying asset performance metrics and relative value analysis.
  • Collaborate with the structured assets team to develop and implement investment strategies that align with our investment objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the team on structured asset market trends and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of internal rating assessments and evaluation of underlying asset performance metrics.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a structured analyst role, with a strong background in credit risk analysis and structured asset markets.
  • Current or working towards CFA and/or MBA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make objective recommendations and defend viewpoints.
  • Strong math and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of structural nuances and modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to distill and communicate critical issues and assumptions.
  • Broad understanding of financial markets and risk models, supported by a background in math, economics, or statistics.
  • High level of curiosity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience utilizing research tools such as Bloomberg, Intex, Excel, and Tableau.
