Job Title: Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation Specialist

The Department of Ecology is seeking a highly skilled Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Water Quality Program, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with water quality laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and enforce compliance with water quality laws and regulations, focusing on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the CAFO permit and become a subject matter expert
  • Coordinate complex compliance and enforcement activities across regions, working closely with the Department of Agriculture
  • Track the status and progress of compliance actions, ensuring timely completion of all required activities
