We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Steward Health Care. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for providing critical care services to patients of all ages, including those with respiratory and cardiac conditions.
Job Summary:The Respiratory Therapy Department at Steward Health Care has adopted the American Association for Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines (AARC CPG) for patient care. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will function in a physician-supervised environment, following AARC CPG and established departmental standards and practices.
Responsibilities:- Conduct clinical patient assessments, including cardiac, pulmonary, and neurologic assessments
- Administer ordered therapy, including oxygen, aerosol, and emergent airway management
- Monitor equipment function and apply corrective action in the event of malfunction
- Document patient assessments, therapies delivered, and patient monitoring
- Provide emergency response for cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory emergencies, and hospital disasters
- Act as a member of the healthcare delivery team, assisting in the development and implementation of multidisciplinary patient care plans
- Degree from an AMA-approved program in respiratory therapy, Bachelor's degree required
- RRT License in respiratory therapy by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BLS by the AHA or Red Cross required, ACLS preferred
