Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the radiation treatment process, working closely with radiation oncologists and certified Radiation Therapists to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the review of patient treatment records for completeness and accuracy
- Confer with physicians, physics, and dosimetry for clarification prior to, during, and after treatment
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to established procedures
- Explain procedures to patients according to departmental standards
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any changes in condition to the physician or other patient care personnel
- Acquire imaging via CBCT or portal imaging as prescribed by the physician
- Review images prior to treatment to ensure alignment falls within allowable tolerances
- Schedule patients for treatment and simulations per department guidelines
- Inspect equipment safety interlocks and report malfunctions
- Submit charges into the computer systems for services rendered to patients
- Participate in the clinical education and training of students
- Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Radiation Therapy or completion of a two-year program in Radiologic Technology followed by a one-year program in Radiation Therapy
- Minimum of 3 months of on-the-job training or experience
- CPR certification
- ARRT (American Registry for Radiologic Technologists) certification for radiation therapy
