About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our chiller test facility operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our equipment research and development test lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to test engineers and operation supervisors, ensuring seamless execution of projects and tasks.
- Configure, set up, and monitor temperature, pressure, and power meters and measuring devices, adhering to established company procedures and schedules.
- Offer technical recommendations to the labor force for the operation of the chiller test facility pumping and air handling systems, promoting efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with product engineering team members to establish effective execution sequences for chiller and component testing, driving quality and productivity.
- Perform process analysis to identify opportunities for cost reductions, quality improvements, and efficiency enhancements, developing and implementing solutions to drive business results.
- Develop work procedures to improve work processes, equipment, and facility operation, or engineering test, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Work with vendors to maintain tools and purchase production improvement items, supporting the continuous improvement of our operations.
- Implement and maintain safety requirements for equipment and processes throughout the lab, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Provide direction to test lab personnel on specific work assignments, promoting clear communication and effective teamwork.
- Interact closely with product design department to ensure outcomes are understood and met, driving alignment and collaboration across teams.
- Troubleshoot nonconforming systems and components, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of lean production processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Understanding of standard technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and processes, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation, able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems, with experience in chiller testing and operation.
