Position Overview:
Landry's Corporate Office is in search of a dedicated individual to enhance the company's physical security operations. This position will be integrated into the security team and will primarily serve the Houston area. Work locations will be determined based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of company properties and surroundings to identify, report, and mitigate any unusual activities, risks, or irregularities.
- Maintain a daily log of activities, oversee visitor access, and monitor the video surveillance systems.
- Supervise fire safety and intrusion detection systems, ensuring a prompt response to alarms and assisting in evacuation procedures.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of emergency response protocols and procedures for critical incidents.
- Compile detailed incident reports based on factual information gathered during self-directed investigations.
- Foster a secure working environment while complying with OSHA regulations.
- Availability for a flexible schedule is essential, including weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a state-issued Private Security Officer License upon hiring.
- Experience with video surveillance systems, including viewing, replaying, and archiving footage.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clearly with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining a welcoming and approachable demeanor.
- Capable of ascending multiple flights of stairs quickly in emergency situations.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in a high-end environment.
- Experience in guest services is highly valued.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred but may be substituted with military service, first responder, or law enforcement experience.
- Knowledge of state laws and local regulations is essential.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
