POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Delivers exceptional, coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-focused medical care within the framework of The Queen's Health System's (QHS) facilities, encompassing hospitals and clinics, particularly in the fields of pulmonology and sleep medicine.
  • Collaborates effectively within integrated practice models.
  • Upholds the vision and values of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) to enhance quality healthcare delivery and improve patient health outcomes, aligning with QMC's mission to provide enduring quality healthcare services for the benefit of Native Hawaiians and all residents of Hawai`i.
CLINICAL DUTIES:
  • Administers inpatient and/or outpatient medical and procedural services in pulmonology and/or sleep medicine, as directed by the leadership of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM).
  • Engages in ongoing post-graduate education as mandated by relevant licensing regulations and as requested by QUMG, QHS, and QMC.
  • May participate in academic and clinical education, training, supervision, evaluation, and research initiatives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical School or holds EC FMG certification.
  • Possesses a current unrestricted medical license in the State of Hawaii.
  • Completed a fellowship training program in Pulmonary Medicine and/or Sleep Medicine accredited by the ACGME or AOA.
  • Holds current board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and/or Sleep Medicine from the appropriate ABMS specialty/subspecialty certification board. If not currently certified, must achieve certification within two years of employment.
  • Must maintain good standing as a member of the medical staff at applicable QHS hospitals with appropriate privileges.
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in Internal Medicine.
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in Pulmonary and/or Sleep Medicine.
  • Preferred: Eligibility for faculty appointment at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Base salary commences at $347,037/year, with potential for productivity and quality incentives.
