ECHO Incorporated is seeking a seasoned Service Parts Operations Manager for our facility. This pivotal role is accountable for the effective and profitable management of the service parts division. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Service Operations, this position will provide strategic recommendations that align with the best interests of the parts department in relation to company and customer activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishes achievable annual objectives for the parts department and oversees the preparation and management of the annual budget and sales forecast.
  • Ensures that authorized plans and initiatives are executed by the service parts department to achieve profit and gross margin targets.
  • Evaluates and manages the performance of personnel within the parts department.
  • Provides recommendations regarding the service parts bookings program.
  • Reviews pricing recommendations from the Parts Analyst and guides implementation strategies.
  • Maintains communication with the sales department and customers regarding relevant programs.
  • Ensures that parts literature, instruction sheets, price lists, reference materials, and promotional content are accurately maintained and readily available for all items supplied to customers.
  • Actively participates in company sales and service meetings, serving as a catalyst for promoting and selling parts through various channels. Regularly engages with customers to assess the quality of parts service provided.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the Product Management and Service Operations departments to evaluate parts utilized in equipment, making necessary recommendations to minimize costs, equipment downtime, and turnaround times.
  • Works alongside the Engineering department to oversee the development and implementation of engineering changes for Bills of Materials related to service assemblies and kits.
  • Conducts analysis of OEM and Will-Fit parts pricing and programs, optimizing top-line sales and profits for each market served.
  • Assists the Demand Planning Team with annual service parts forecasting.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multi-level Bills of Materials, Engineering Changes, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to analyze engineering documents effectively.
  • Technically adept with a customer-centric approach to driving sales.
  • Experience with XA system software is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and logical reasoning abilities.
Education: An Associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
