As a Registered Nurse (RN) Resident in our Emergency Department (ED), you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of passionate and dedicated caregivers who are committed to providing exceptional patient care.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate RN Resident to join our ED team. As an RN Resident, you will participate in a year-long residency program that is customized to fit your needs and pace. You will provide direct nursing care, work alongside a coach, and develop clinical judgment, communication skills, and complex nursing skills.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs
- Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients
- Seek supervision, consultation, assistance when unable to perform safely and comply with established hospital/department personnel policies
- Use communication strategies in order to achieve desirable outcomes
- Document in patient's medical record according to established guidelines
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire
- Other certifications may be required based on the specific unit or department
