Respite Care Specialist

Job Overview: United Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a member of our Respite program, you will play a vital role in supporting children with mental health needs by providing recreational activities and services in a respectful, friendly, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to children in a community-based setting, promoting their inclusion and participation in meaningful activities.
- Facilitate individualized programs to develop life skills, independence, and social skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client progress and services provided.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant experience in human services preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
Salary and Benefits: $17.75 per hour, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package available.
