Essentra is seeking a highly skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team at our global facility. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of cash and credit card transactions in accordance with internal controls and relevant accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process charges and refunds in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Post cash transactions accurately and efficiently to meet daily deadlines.
  • Manage multiple credit card portals, capturing daily payments batches and selecting and running payments.
  • Provide detailed payment information and remittance details to credit analysts, including backup documentation.
  • Complete corrective payment entries on customer accounts as requested by credit analysts, ensuring accurate and timely application of payments.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in using functions such as VLOOKUP.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training or experience in computer applications, particularly ERP systems.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
