Personal Lines Underwriting Support Specialist
Compensation starting at $50,000 annually with additional bonus potential
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Lines Underwriting Support Specialist to enhance our operations. This position will assist the Director of Personal Lines by assessing applications, analyzing risk, generating quotes, managing new and renewal business, and contributing to the professional development of our branch office teams. While prior experience in insurance is not mandatory, familiarity with the industry is advantageous. Bass Underwriters is committed to equipping you with the necessary tools and mentorship for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze applications
- Assess risks associated with applications
- Research and understand carrier guidelines
- Engage with agents and insurance providers
- Process and manage new and renewal business
- Assist in overseeing the Personal Lines inbox
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for product offerings
- Support the Director during monthly discussions with branch office teams
- Promote specialty program offerings both internally and externally
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, or a related field preferred
- 2-20 License preferred but not essential
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in problem analysis and resolution
- Able to prioritize tasks and respond to complex issues effectively
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of navigating various online platforms and databases
- Willingness to travel occasionally to visit other branch offices
- The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess a positive and outgoing demeanor, demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
