Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, review medical history, position patients, and clean, shave, and numb testing sites as appropriate.
  • Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognize recording errors and artifacts, and react appropriately.
  • Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures and promptly report any abnormal findings in patient condition.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment if necessary and assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Certified Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
