Job Summary

US Molding Machinery Co. is seeking a skilled Service Technician/Panel Builder to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and providing exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers, control engineers, and management to identify problem areas and develop effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new and rebuilt presses, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Provide expert technical support to customers, both on-site and remotely, to diagnose and resolve machine-related problems.
  • Contribute to the development of new methods and products to enhance machine quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Allen-Bradley PLCs, Panel View Operator Interfaces, and other relevant technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the highest level of technical expertise.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including wiring methods and basic hydraulic knowledge.
  • Proficiency in CAD/Solidworks design software and ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical codes, including UL and CSA.
