Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design, field application, product, and marketing teams to define new analog and mixed-signal IC/SOC products.
  • Develop IC/SOC product lab evaluation boards and test systems, including schematic and layout design, lab evaluation system development, and setup, working closely with design/test/field application teams.
  • Assist in IC/SOC product lab evaluation testing, measurement, and debug, working with design/test teams.
  • Contribute to IC/SOC product production test system development and setup, working with design/test/product teams.
  • Support IC system-level modeling in application environments and IC product modeling for customer use, collaborating with design engineers, system engineers, and field application engineers.
  • Assist in resolving application issues and problems with the field application team if necessary.
  • Generate product datasheets, application notes, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 5+ years of experience in application engineering for analog and mixed-signal IC/SOC development.
  • Strong experience and a solid track record in board-level circuit design, including schematic capture and layout design (OrCAD/Altium/etc.), and PCB board-level parasitic extraction and simulation/analysis.
  • Proficiency in analog/mixed-signal IC laboratory equipment and automation tools such as LabVIEW, experience in data acquisition and analysis, and familiarity with measuring, debugging, and analyzing analog mixed-signal ICs in lab evaluation environments.
  • Proficiency in both hardware implementation and software programming of FPGA/MCU in application environments.
  • System-level modeling, simulation, and verification using MATLAB and other tools are highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in X-Ray imaging equipment or modules (industrial/medical) development is a plus.
  • Prior experience with data converter applications and testing (lab and production) is a plus.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in California is $135,000 - $170,000.
