Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene/Industrial Safety Professional to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a key member of our Environmental Safety & Health Directorate, you will provide comprehensive support to our programs and operations, ensuring worker safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety and industrial hygiene support to our directorates, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with line managers and workers to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Conduct health and safety evaluations, inspections, and investigations to identify trends and recommend controls.
  • Serve as a program owner for industrial hygiene and safety programs, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Write and review technical reports, and provide emergency response support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial hygiene, safety, or a related field, with a strong understanding of federal regulations and consensus standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with safety audits, emergency response, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • CIH or CSP certification.
  • Experience with safety programs, including characterization and demolition of contaminated facilities.
