Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled Cardiac Technician to join our team in the Cardiopulmonary Department. As an EKG Tech, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive diagnostic tests of the heart, including EKGs, Holter Monitors, and treadmill stress testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EKGs, Holter Monitors, and treadmill stress testing on patients
  • Transport patients to and from the Cardiopulmonary Department for testing
  • Prepare and maintain department appearance, including procedure room setup and cleaning
  • Order supplies, file, fax, copy, and schedule patients for procedures
  • Register and prepare paperwork for inpatients and outpatient procedures
  • Batch and check Cardiology billing
  • Prepare paperwork associated with Cardio testing procedures for interpretation and distribution
Requirements
  • CPR Card
  • Ability to possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience in a cardiology department
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
