Cardiac Catheterization Radiologic Technologist

As a certified Radiologic Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will be instrumental in supporting cardiac catheterization procedures. Your essential responsibilities will encompass ensuring optimal imaging quality, operating fluoroscopy machinery, and managing image storage in compliance with departmental protocols. Additionally, you will assist cardiologists as a scrub assistant during various catheterization interventions and oversee relevant billing and data collection tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold a safe and sanitized work environment, following safety and infection control guidelines.
- Execute all responsibilities associated with the Rad Tech - Cath Lab position.
- Guarantee the effective functioning of imaging devices within the cardiac catheterization lab.
- Assist physicians by delivering high-quality images and sequences for both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Facilitate communication within the lab, including managing pages, lab specimens, and housekeeping requests.
- Serve as a Monitor Technician, acquiring and interpreting hemodynamic and electrophysiological data.
- Implement procedural updates and prepare supply requisitions as necessary.
- Support physicians as a scrub technician in diagnostic coronary arteriography and cardiac interventions.
- Maintain expertise in Radiographic, Monitor, and Scrub Technician roles through continuous education.
- Preferred minimum of two (2) years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab. Recent graduates from a Radiology Technology program or Radiation Technologists with at least five (5) years of recent experience will also be considered.
- Required Licensure:
- CRT (California Radiologic Technology Certificate)
- CA Fluoroscopy Permit
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Required Certifications:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within six months of hire
- Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
