We are seeking a Printing Press Support Specialist to assist in the setup and operation of printing presses, ensuring adherence to printing specifications and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all organizational and safety protocols
  • Achieve and maintain defined objectives related to job planning and execution
  • Assist in external make-ready operations for job changeovers
  • Support external cleanup activities post-changeover
  • Maintain cleanliness of ink pans and related equipment
  • Remove and install plates on cylinders
  • Manage die placement for press operations
  • Collaborate with press operators to inspect labels using strobe lighting
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the client and MCC
  • Complete quality assurance documentation as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace
  • Be available for overtime as necessary
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a print shop is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; recognized as a team player
  • Ability to interpret job tickets and measurements accurately
  • Capability to pass vision tests, including color differentiation
  • Proficient in data entry on computers
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment with a focus on timely task completion
  • Self-driven with a strong ability to follow instructions and maintain focus
  • Physical stamina to stand and move in the press area for extended periods
  • Physical demands include standing, reaching, talking, and hearing; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Assertive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
