Chief Operations Officer - Manufacturing

As a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Operations Officer will take charge of shaping strategies, policies, and executing key initiatives to meet both financial and non-financial objectives. By employing innovative methodologies in business development, technical integration, and strategic planning, the selected candidate will implement sustainable practices for effective operations within the federal government and related sectors. Collaboration across diverse teams is crucial to ensure operational strategies are in sync with overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster and manage relationships with both internal and external project stakeholders.
  2. Oversee communication and reporting with various entities, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  3. Address complex inter-team dependencies and facilitate effective technical system management.
  4. Lead comprehensive project planning, defining milestones, and allocating financial resources judiciously.
  5. Establish, monitor, and drive the critical path, effectively managing risks, dependencies, and decision-making processes.
  6. Communicate project achievements, timelines, priorities, challenges, and overall project health to all organizational levels.
  7. Oversee project expenditures, capitalization, and tax credit reporting.
  8. Develop and disseminate impactful automated reporting systems.
  9. Promote customer-focused approaches to design enriching educational experiences.
  10. Lead a robust team, defining project frameworks, partnerships, and the overall educational strategy.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in technical project management.
  2. Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and global manufacturing standards.
  3. Proven experience in grant accounting and financial oversight, particularly concerning government grants.
  4. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership and analytical skills.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  6. Bachelor's degree (Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred)

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience.
  2. Proficient in corporate policy, operations, strategy, and growth management.
  3. Experience with global defense and security mission customers.
  4. Track record of managing programs and P&L with revenues ranging from $20-40M.
  5. Experience in building and scaling teams and operational systems.
  6. Extensive knowledge in supporting the development of large-scale projects and deliverables.
  7. Experience in government or federal consulting.
  8. Proven ability to work with senior-level executives.
  9. Experience in cultivating external partnerships across government and industry sectors.
  10. Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications.
