SRAM Circuit Design Engineer

Imagine yourself at the center of Apple's hardware development effort, collaborating with a team of hardworking engineers to design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design. As a member of the Digital Custom Group, you will play a strategic role in getting functional products to millions of customers quickly.
You will have the opportunity to integrate and come up with new insights, work with a team of experts, and implement groundbreaking techniques of Machine Learning, Circuit design in Apple's marquee products like M1 and A14 Bionic.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design.
- Work with the logic/architecture team to formulate design specifications.
- Define architecture/topologies optimizing for power, timing, area, and yield.
- Schematic capture, simulations/analysis, margin verifications.
- Functional equivalency and DFT modeling.
- Work with the layout team to create optimal GDS.
- Verify extracted GDS meets design specifications.
- Backend verification, IR/EM.
- Write RTL, validate use-cases, verify against design schematics.
- Support post-silicon effort to enable productization.
- BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge of Cache design/architecture, memory hierarchy.
- Working knowledge of RTL modeling.
- Solid understanding of industry-standard design tools.
- Deep understanding of nanometer device physics, leakage mechanisms, technology interactions with device behavior.
- Ability to devise experiments and analyze data for silicon debug.
- Machine Learning algorithms (ML) and scripting is a big plus.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
