Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Scan Technologist to join our team at WMC Health Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating x-ray and CT equipment to produce high-quality radiographs and scans of designated body parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust x-ray equipment to optimal settings for each examination, positioning patients and determining proper voltage, current, and exposure time.
  • Select appropriate CT protocols for each examination and ensure proper patient screening prior to contrast administration.
  • Operate CT intravenous contrast injectors with physician supervision and arrange immobilizing devices to obtain precise patient positioning.
  • Position x-ray equipment at optimal distances and angles to produce clear and undistorted views, adjusting lead shields to protect unaffected body parts.
  • Repeat exposures from different angles as prescribed by physicians and prepare and administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures for internal organ imaging.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, documenting radiological studies in electronic medical records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Requirements
  • Prior diagnostic radiology experience with CT equipment required.
  • Graduate of an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • Licensed by the State of New York and BLS certification, AART registered or eligible.
