Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of various legal documents, including lease options, leases, easements, and utility agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and compile lease options, leases, contract amendments, and other legal documentation as required for ongoing and new projects.
  • Record and file all contracts in the appropriate systems and track corporate compliance with key terms and dates.
  • Provide support in reviewing and interpreting zoning ordinances and regulations, ensuring project compliance with local laws.
  • Assist in the execution of documents related to construction finance closing, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Provide legal support during external meetings with vendors, utility companies, and government agencies, assisting with documentation and legal queries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of real estate contracts, supplier contracts, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, and project finance contracts.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate, construction, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, real estate law, and zoning regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
