Solar Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to join our team at the Research Foundation CUNY. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple solar PV construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $76,701.00.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple solar PV construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and architects, to ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform site visits, review project feasibility assessments, and complete comprehensive solar project design reviews.
  • Make high-level decisions impacting the City's capital budget and capital construction.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in architecture, architectural technology, biology, building science, chemistry, construction management, energy management, engineering, engineering technology, environmental science, facilities management, physics, or a related field.
  • Four years of satisfactory, full-time experience in energy generation or conservation work, including planning, developing, implementing, inspecting, analyzing, testing, and verifying interventions to generate clean energy or reduce energy usage.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with solar PV data acquisition and performance tracking systems and analysis.
  • Familiarity with energy cost, savings, and greenhouse gas calculation methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NABCEP Certification.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and project management skills.
  • Excellent relationship management, customer service, and communication skills.
