Avera McKennan Hospital is a leading health care organization that has been recognized for its excellence in patient care and employee satisfaction. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in the Stem Cell Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties.
  • Utilize scientific principles and technical expertise to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
  • One to two years of experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT for the Medical Laboratory Scientist.
  • Six months of blood banking experience required.
  • Stem cell handling/processing experience highly desired.
  • Flow cytometry experience highly desired.
  • Molecular experience highly desired.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $41.50 per hour.
  • Full-time position with 80 hours every two weeks.
  • On-call rotation every three weeks/weekend.
