Job Title: Manager Training Simulator

SEPTA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Training Simulator to lead the development and implementation of training programs for transportation employees across all modes of travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation, training, and simulation technology, with excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs for transportation employees, including simulator training, testing, and recertification processes.
  • Lead initiatives to unify and standardize training practices across all divisions, ensuring a cohesive and effective training program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to develop and implement training initiatives.
  • Manage the development and use of training resources, including comprehensive training policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the delivery of simulator training programs, including on-site, remote, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Implement consistent testing and evaluation processes to measure employee knowledge and skills.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and additional training needs.
  • Share performance data with department heads to track program effectiveness and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Engineering, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Eight years of experience in railroad transportation, with a minimum of five years in training and progressively responsible managerial experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing training programs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and simulator software.
