POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Inspector role is pivotal in ensuring that Framatome GmbH maintains its high standards in project execution. This position is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with established standards, and serving as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries throughout the project lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to create accurate estimates and schedules for proposals; present these proposals to clients and foster strong customer relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and amendments, ensuring the preservation of profit margins while finalizing all contract terms.
  • Oversee the management and enforcement of existing customer contracts, ensuring all parties are informed of project status through regular communication.
  • Provide comprehensive project information to clients, addressing both technical and financial aspects.
  • Coordinate vital project activities and manage customer invoicing processes.
  • Approve detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with Framatome's accounting standards.
  • Secure necessary project resources and manage subcontractor relationships, including engineers and consultants.
  • Implement a competitive bidding process for subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide monthly cost projections compared to budget estimates.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and maintain open communication with the project team.
  • Train and mentor junior project staff, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Travel may be required for project oversight and team collaboration.
  • Uphold Framatome's commitment to safety and ethical standards in all project activities.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Encourage a positive workplace culture to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role is primarily office-based but may involve exposure to various environmental conditions. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employees must be capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, with at least five years in a managerial capacity.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in contract management and project scheduling tools is necessary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain strong customer relationships.
