General Overview


The QA Analyst is responsible for executing and enhancing system testing related to Quality Assurance within Project Services across strategic initiatives and software development projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that the developed software adheres to established requirements and quality standards.

Quality Assurance (QA) is a systematic approach aimed at ensuring that software products meet defined specifications and quality benchmarks.


The individual in this role will identify, assess, and document software defects, analyzing system functionalities and inconsistencies, while managing these defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

The QA Analyst will create and implement both manual and automated testing scripts, utilizing various testing methodologies and tools.

This position requires collaboration with multiple functional teams and systems, including eCommerce, web platforms, and customer relationship management systems.


Additional responsibilities include contributing to the establishment of QA testing standards and procedures that impact the overall quality of the final product, ensuring timely delivery of a high-quality output.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases/Scripts, Test Data, and Traceability matrices.
  • Oversee defect management throughout the QA testing process.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance through the execution of both manual and automated test scripts.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating reported defects.
  • Assist in the automation of testing processes, contributing to the enhancement of these capabilities for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with various business units and technical teams.
  • Support high-performance teams through proactive engagement.
  • Produce clear and precise documentation, including defect logs, meeting notes, status updates, and user manuals.
  • Provide training to QA team members and business users on new functionalities through live demonstrations.
  • Coordinate testing efforts with external partners when necessary.
  • Execute predefined standard work to provide operational support across departments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing within a technical environment, preferably as a QA tester or business analyst.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred, along with practical experience applying its principles.
  • Familiarity with application design concepts related to software development.
  • Proficient in executing test plans and using testing tools, with experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with demonstrated presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various organizational levels and geographical locations.
  • Commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Experience in customer service and familiarity with the medical or dental claims processing sectors is advantageous.
