General Overview


The individual in this role is responsible for executing and developing system evaluations related to Project Services Quality Assurance across Enterprise Strategic Initiatives and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) projects or established standard work, including application management operational support as necessary.

Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is a systematic approach to managing quality to ensure that the developed software or application adheres to well-defined, mutually agreed-upon requirements and/or standard quality specifications.


This individual will identify, assess, and document discrepancies found in software application functionalities, system outputs, screens, and content due to questionable system operations and errors or inconsistencies, managing these discrepancies throughout the testing process.

This role involves creating and utilizing both manual and automated testing scripts through various documentation methods and testing tools.

This individual will engage with and respond to inquiries from multiple functional areas and across various systems (Enterprise System, eCommerce, web, GRS, CMS, CRM, telephony/IVR, etc.).


Additional responsibilities include assisting in the establishment of SQA testing standard processes and procedures that influence the overall quality of the final product and user experience, which encompasses QC, involving testing the code based on requirement-based test cases/design/scenarios and identifying defects to ensure timely delivery of a quality product.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases/Scripts, Test Data, and Traceability.
  • Manage discrepancies throughout the QA testing process.
  • Conduct QA through the execution of both manual and automated test scripts.
  • Facilitate UAT processes by validating reported discrepancies.
  • Assist in the automation of testing efforts, contributing to the establishment and enhancement of these capabilities for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with various business divisions and technical resources.
  • Support high-performance teams through proactive engagement.
  • Provide precise, well-structured documentation such as defect templates, meeting minutes, status reports, user guides, etc.
  • Aid in training QA team members and business users on new functionalities through live and recorded demonstrations.
  • Coordinate testing efforts with third parties when applicable.
  • Execute predefined standard work, as assigned, to provide application management operational support and coordinate across departments:

Operational Support:
o Troubleshoot reported system issues and open work order tickets as necessary.

o Provide user training and support for related applications.

  • Undertake other special assignments and related projects, as requested.

Qualifications, Skills, Personal Attributes, and Experience Required

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in software testing within a technical environment as an SQA tester, business analyst, or a similar technical writing role bridging technical and non-technical teams is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification with 1-3 years of experience operating as a Green Belt and demonstrated ability to apply the principles, practices, and techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with application design concepts associated with application development is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in executing test plans is essential.
  • Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar platforms, along with in-depth knowledge of various testing tools, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and relate them to customer requirements, are necessary.
  • Ability to make timely and sound decisions, proactively anticipate problems, and provide solutions or suggest alternatives as needed.
  • Self-motivated and accountable with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects in a timely manner within a complex and changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with demonstrated presentation skills.
