The Sous Chef will report directly to the Executive Chef and will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional quality dishes.
- Overseeing and actively participating in the preparation of high-quality offerings for various events and dining venues.
- Estimating food requirements for events and procuring necessary ingredients.
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and regulations.
- Implementing and maintaining sanitary practices for food handling and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
- Assisting in managing payroll and ensuring profitability within set guidelines.
- Monitoring product quality, inventory levels, and overall kitchen supplies.
- Incorporating sustainable practices into culinary selections.
- Executing special projects as assigned by the Executive Chef.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.
We seek candidates with proven leadership abilities and a commitment to team development. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong financial management, merchandising, analytical, planning, and leadership skills.
- The ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for office tasks.
- The physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs as required.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of three years of food preparation experience.
- ServSafe or Food Handling Certification.
- Culinary training, with candidates being at least 18 years of age.
