Behavioral Specialist

At Wasatch Behavioral Health, we are committed to providing access to mental health services to everyone in our community. As a local government agency, we are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Behavioral Specialist to join our team at the Intensive Residential Treatment Center in Provo, Utah.
This is a part-time, on-call position that offers a competitive pay range of $15.93-$20.19 per hour. As a Behavioral Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development and social adjustment of clients through interactive processes and role modeling. Your responsibilities will include implementing behavioral modification treatment programs, supervising clients, and facilitating instructional activities to promote the development of psychosocial skills.
You will also manage crisis situations, conduct vocational skills training, and teach independent living skills. Your attention to detail will be essential as you document client behaviors and work closely with licensed staff to address behavioral concerns.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) year post high school education in social work or psychology (Preferred but not necessary)
- Or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience
- Or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check. After hire, you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
