Patient Accounts Manager

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Patient Accounts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Post-Acute Care Service line, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our facilities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the Patient Property Office, including financial reporting, coverage of departments, and functions.
- Direct on-site support to senior leadership and departments with the use of the Patient Property ledger systems.
- Develop and lead the execution and monitoring of the Patient Property Office initiatives and plans, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Effectively support all financial administrative duties to ensure day-to-day operational activities are efficient and effective.
- Prepare and present financial reports with narrative for review on a monthly basis for the five facilities within the Post-Acute Service line.
- Track, monitor, and report facility expense activities and ensure operational activities are efficient and in-line with budgetary allocations.
- Assist with producing and updating Patient Property Office procedures and routinely review adherence.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- Four years of experience in accounting, finance, or business administration, with two years in a responsible and managerial capacity in areas normally related to a hospital, medical center, or healthcare facility.
- Two years of experience in the management of patients accounts or credits.
- General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a healthcare facility.
- Ability to perform research, assimilate, and analyze data, to recommend action based on analytical findings, and to assist in the solution of complex problems in healthcare administration and management.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, Inpatient billing system, computerized accounting system.
- Excellent customer service, written, and oral skills.
