Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Rhode Island Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images
  • Interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians, and staff
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique
  • Ensure proper use of protection to unaffected areas of the body from radiation exposure
  • Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure and ensure information is documented for use by the radiologist
  • Ensure that images, examination requisitions, and other related records are properly completed

Requirements:

  • High school degree plus completion of a course of study in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Successful completion of the national certification exam
  • Current license for radiologic technologist from Rhode Island Department of Health
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality of patient information
