Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blood Donor Center Driver to join our team at Transforce. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of blood and medical supplies to and from blood drive sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect vehicles and documents to ensure compliance with CCHC policies, federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Bloodmobile Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bloodmobile, including the interior and exterior, to ensure a safe and efficient blood drive experience.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Drive company vehicles to transport supplies and equipment to and from blood drive sites, and assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment.
  • Donor Registration and Data Entry: Perform donor registrations, accurately record and enter data in the computer system, and perform other clerical functions.
  • Customer Service: Ensure the satisfaction of all users of the department's services, internal and external, according to the hospital's customer service standards.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with filtering blood and packing units in transport coolers for courier pickup, maintain work areas in a clean and sanitary condition, and report any vehicle accidents or damage to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • License and Certification: Current valid Massachusetts and Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class B with an Air Brake Endorsement required.
  • Experience: Prior commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English, proficient in using a computer and laptop, and ability to obtain Basic Life Support Certificate within thirty days of hire.
