Position Overview

As a Senior Process Equipment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and reliability of research laboratory systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in both the operation and maintenance of equipment, as well as in the design and construction of innovative research components. You will provide leadership and direction to a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring that project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Optimization: Spearhead the optimization and testing of both new and existing process applications to enhance performance.
  2. Equipment Redesign: Lead initiatives for equipment redesign to improve reliability and operational availability.
  3. Project Management: Develop comprehensive engineering project schedules and delegate tasks to team members.
  4. Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of laboratory equipment and process performance to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed plans, specifications, and procedures related to laboratory equipment and processes.
  6. Troubleshooting: Address and resolve equipment and process issues, overseeing calibration and repair efforts as necessary.
  7. Technical Documentation: Prepare accurate drawings, schematics, and related documentation for assigned equipment and processes.
  8. Budget Management: Oversee project engineering budgets and manage procurement and delivery challenges.

Qualifications

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: A minimum of four to five years of relevant professional experience is required.


Skills and Competencies

This role demands advanced knowledge and skills in fabrication processes and equipment engineering principles. Proficiency in regulatory compliance, safety practices, and project management is essential. Familiarity with engineering software and technical applications is also required.
