Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence:
- Enhance operational performance, minimize waste, and support growth initiatives.
- Take ownership of engineering responsibilities in the optimization of production processes.
- Aid production teams in troubleshooting by collecting and analyzing data.
- Develop digital tools aimed at boosting site efficiency.
- Collaborate on identifying, developing, and executing capital projects that enhance safety, compliance, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and report on plant maintenance budgets and expenditures.
- Identify and implement initiatives to lower costs and energy consumption while improving productivity.
- Lead process optimization efforts in partnership with various functions.
- Spearhead continuous improvement activities, including root cause analysis and predictive maintenance.

Environmental Health & Safety:

- Promote a culture of EHS ownership across the site through active participation in EHS committees.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM standards, including Management of Change protocols.
- Participate in PHA reviews and contribute to facility enhancements as the site MOC Coordinator.
- Engage in EHS incident investigations and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in the formulation and execution of environmental programs and regulations, including data tracking for permit compliance.
- Recommend methods for waste reduction and propose formula modifications to decrease process waste.

Team Development:
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the team that drives site operations.
- Support safety, environmental, and technical training initiatives.
- Acknowledge strong performance and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
- Foster growth and development by delivering actionable feedback during annual performance reviews.
- Engage in 360-degree feedback processes and participate in leadership development meetings.
- Present key performance indicators to leadership and collaborate effectively with production staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment of unit goals with broader site and corporate objectives.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical plant or refinery, or equivalent industrial manufacturing experience.
- Proven ability to prioritize safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene regulations in daily operations.
- Strong engagement skills with site associates and effective interaction with team members at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical capabilities in all work aspects.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to engage associates throughout their work processes.
- Proven track record of driving associate alignment and accountability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Morganton Lift Truck License.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
