Spiritual Care Provider

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a qualified Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients and staff at our Wilmington, DE location.
Key Responsibilities- Provide spiritual comfort and counseling to patients and families through regular visits and sacraments as requested.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assess patient and family needs and provide support in using their faith to cope with illness, trauma, and death.
- Participate in bereavement support and coordinate rituals and resources with the care team.
- Provide on-call chaplain services and respond to requests within 5 minutes.
- Support clinical providers and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all services.
- Foster relationships with community ministers and serve as an active member of the medical team.
- Paid Time Off: Six paid holidays and one day of paid volunteer time off.
- Paid Parental Leave: Six weeks of paid leave for new parents at 100% pay.
- Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $5,250 for approved courses.
- Retirement Savings Plan: 403(b) plan with immediate participation and matching contributions.
- Insurance: Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.
- Disability Coverage: Short- and long-term disability coverage at 60% of salary for non-work-related disabilities.
- Ordination and/or ecclesiastical endorsement from a particular denominational affiliation.
- Minimum of 5 years of local parish ministry.
- Advanced degree required.
- Certification as Clinical Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor.
- Completion of 4 units of CPE training AND certified or certification eligible for Board Certification.
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish speaking candidates preferred.
