Cardiac Care Nurse Practitioner

ChristianaCare Cardiology is seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their dynamic care team at Christiana & Wilmington Cardiac Care units. The selected candidate will collaborate with attending cardiologists to provide exceptional acute care services, including initial hospital admissions and follow-up care of cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform cardiology admissions and provide inpatient follow-up care.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, including orders.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary care team, demonstrating decisive judgment and the ability to work independently.
- Contribute to the achievement of established practice goals and objectives, adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
- Completion of a master's degree program in nursing or as a physician assistant.
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner as set forth by the Delaware Board of Nursing OR Licensure as a Physician's Assistant by the Delaware Medical Board.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in an acute care setting, with previous experience in cardiology highly desired.
- BLS/ACLS Certified. DEA required.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
