Physician Administrator 2

As a Physician Administrator 2 with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, you will play a critical role in administering treatment for behavioral health patients. You will work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to provide high-quality care, utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting using an electronic health record system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct exams and write evaluations and reports
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Manage medication
• Make referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related ACA standards
• Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
• Provide or share responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed
• Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate to practice medicine in the state of Ohio as issued by the State Medical Board pursuant to Section & of the Revised Code. Additionally, you will require strong skills in behavioral health, corrections-mental health, medical charting, medication management, decision making, listening, teamwork, time management, and written communication.
