Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Radar Mechanical Design Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of RF and electronic modules and subassemblies for our next-generation radar systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement technical solutions to complex problems related to the entire product life cycle, including proposal, design, manufacture, integration, and test of phase array radars/electronics.
- Supervise the definition of mechanical outline and construction details, component selection and specification, mechanical detail and assembly drawings, electrical/RF layout, and approval of the final technical data package.
- Employ transition-to-production practices and lead a design release into production.
- Track, report, and meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product, including inputs to Earned Value (EV) management and Estimate at Complete (EAC).
- Prepare proposal inputs on behalf of the Array RF Electronics product area and interpret procurement and build status for the Array RF Electronics product area.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience with phase array electronics, hardware packaging, and array integration for military or mechanical or commercial applications.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.

This role is a U.S.-based role, and the salary range for this role is $96,000 USD - $200,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
